In a follow up to my App-vertising blog post the other day, there appears to have been a significant development in this marketing niche. Google who released a beta version of their new real-time communications platform Google Wave this month, have been all together surprised by some of the testing results.

Several apps seem to have sprung up around the new platform which has now spurred on Google to consider creating it’s own app store to rival iPhone’s. If this did happen it’s fair to say that App-vertising will become much more widely used as a mainstream marketing tool especially if Google combine an app store with their AdWords engine.
